We learn about Christ in the fellowship of our peers — at any age from preschool to post-retirement. Broadway Covenant helps members and friends of all ages grow in their faith while they develop and strengthen their human relationships.
Our classes and activities help smaller groups connect with God and each other. During the school year, Broadway Covenant offers Sunday school for all ages beginning at 9 a.m.
Sunday School
Children feel welcome and loved at Sunday school for preschool through grade school. It's a safe place where they can have fun and learn about the joy of knowing Jesus. Classes start each Sunday at 9 a.m. during the school year.
This year, children in kindergarten through fifth grade are studying God's word and how it applies to their lives, and are doing crafts. Younger children are learning Bible stories and have snack time.
Wednesday Night Crosswalk
Children learn and play during their activities from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays during the school year. "Crosswalk" students in kindergarten through fifth grade are studying the characteristics of God through games, singing and small group discussions. "Crosswalk Jr." children, up to 5 years old, study Bible stories with circle and snack time.
Skills Camp
Preschoolers through sixth graders have a great time at this week-long, all-day worship and athletic camp at Broadway Covenant. They grow in Christ as they learn new sports skills and hobbies. The 2009 outreach project was to bring donated items to Horizon House Orphanage in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Check out photos from Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday All Skills Camp 2009 photos
Sunday School
Youth, like younger children, feel welcome and loved as they examine life and Christ from their changing perspectives. Classes start each Sunday at 9 a.m. during the school year.
Confirmation class
This class prepares middle school students to be welcomed as young adults in the church. This class is on a two-year journey through the Bible, focusing on who God is, our identity in Christ, Jesus' ministry, and living as followers of Christ. Stay tuned for the new kick-off come fall of 2010!
Junior High Roots Group
Deepen your faith roots as you play and learn with your peers on Wednesday nights. From 6 to 7:30 p.m. At Broadway, we seek to build each other up as sons and daughters of Christ through relevant talk time, games, fun, prayer and God's word. Check out our Student Ministries page.
Senior High Overhaul
Be transformed from the inside out as we grow in unity and seek God's direction in life. On Sundays from 6 to 8 p.m., we share in games, food, worship, scripture and prayer. Overhaul "cell groups" provide in-depth studies to help students grow with Christ and with others. Cell groups meet once a week. For details, contact Derek at 815.399.9296, ext. 12. Check out our Student Ministries page.
