This month we are praying for our camp ministries: Covenant Harbor in Lake Geneva and Covenant Point in Iron River MI. We are also praying for our local ministry One Body Collaboratives.
“For more than 70 years Covenant Harbor has been a place of refuge, refreshment, encouragement, transformation, and of course fun! They strive to make your (or your child’s) time unique and powerful. They work with you to help ensure you have the best experience possible.” Because of the current health situation, they have made the difficult decision to cancel overnight camps this summer. However, they have two new and reimagined programs beginning the week of July 5th. They are offering non-overnight day kids and youth programs for campers entering 1st- through 9th grades. Programs are separated by age groups and designed to be what kids of those age group love most about Covenant Harbor. They are also providing family getaways. Up to ten people can spend a week or more in one of their cabins. Meals will be provided by their food staff and limited activities will be offered. Children can also attend one of the kids and youth programs.
Covenant Point offers summer camp options for grades 2-12, plus family camps for all ages. “They are committed to caring for campers emotionally spiritually, and physically in all of their summer camps.” They also host a variety of retreats throughout the fall and winter. Also, their “Agents of the Earth Outdoor Education links school groups, church groups and community groups to outdoor experiences through unique lessons, high ropes & cross- country skiing and team building initiative experiences.” The leaders of Covenant Point have also made the difficult decision to cancel its summer camp programs. Please pray for both of our camps that their financial needs will be provided for and they will be able to fully re open as soon as it is safe to do so.
“One Body Collaborative is built on the concept of collaboration and has an original mission to unite the Christian churches to collaboratively work together. In addition to their 100+ network partner churches representing over 20 denominations, they have over 40 local ministries and 120 local service agencies within their referral network.” Churches refer people to One Body Collaborative and they determine their needs and assist them in getting the help that they need.
