Mission Board Report for October

This month we are praying for KICY Radio station located in Nome Alaska. They spread the Gospel to Western Alaska and Far Eastern Russia. “In 1958 Ralph Fondall and his wife Gert were commissioned as missionaries by the Evangelical Covenant Church to Nome Alaska to be part of the beginning and build-ing of the station and tower along with fellow mis-sionaries. Many villages don’t have a full-time pastor and KICY is an active participant and strong voice of the Gospel, encouragement, hope and joy in the com-munities of Western Alaska and Russian Far East.” Their first broadcast was Easter Sunday April 17, 1960. They operate 2 radio stations: KICY AM 850 and ICY 100.3 FM. KICY is thankful for the many teams that came in the summer to do maintenance projects. Those who work for KICY are volunteers. Please pray for those who are securing funding in an-ticipation of serving with KICY. For more information on KICY please see their website www.kicy.org or see their newsletter in the book by the mission board.
